FURTHER ACTION.

Department is Crown Land.

If

such is the case, as indeed it

would seem to be judging by

the fact that expensive

resumptions are not expected,

then the effect of the proposed

transaction would appear to be.

that, in addition to paying

$5,000,000, part or all of which

may be recovered, the Colonial

Government would lose part of

its capital assets.

assuming that the land to be

acquired by the War Department is

Crown Land, and since the total

cost of the new site and buildings

may amount to more than the

$5,000,000 which is to be the

maximum sum to be paid by the

Colonial Government, I would ask

what is to become of this land

at same future date it is no

if the sun for it would itself
